Using a clay-based copper, I meticulously handcraft each leaf, starting with a real leaf as a mould. After a transformative process in the kiln at 873 degrees for 3 hours, the result is pure copper metal, retaining the leaf's essence. A touch of flame brings out individual colouring, and a protective lacquer ensures longevity.

Measuring approximately 2cm by 1.8cm, with a 3cm drop from the ear lobe, these earrings boast rose gold filled ear wires for a touch of elegance. A matching necklace is also available.

Rose gold filled is durable and long-lasting, offering a cost-effective alternative to pure gold. While not guaranteed hypoallergenic, these earrings have undergone extensive wear testing.

I make each leaf lovingly by hand, using a real leaf as the basis for each piece. I use clay based copper; an unusual and versatile material. I make a mould from the original leaf and then burn the leaf off in a kiln at 873 degrees for 3 hours! This transforms the copper clay into pure copper metal in the exact copy of the leaf. Its a bit like magic! I use a flame to bring a unique colouring to each piece. I then spray with lacquer to prevent them changing colour or turning your skin green and retain the colour. No two pieces will ever be the same. I have shown a couple of examples in the photos.

This Oak leaf measures approximately 2cm by 1.8cm with a drop from the ear lobe of 3 cm. The ear wires are made from rose gold filled wire. Rose gold filled has a solid layer of gold (14k) permanently bonded to a base metal, such as brass. The rose colour is obtained by alloying gold with copper. It is very hard wearing and under normal wear the gold will not peel or flake, unlike gold plate, and is commonly used as a more economical alternative to pure gold. I can not guarantee these earrings are hypo-allergenic, although after much wear testing I have not reacted to them.
