Stunning handcrafted copper maple seed helicopters hanging on long earring wires for a one of a kind piece that will add a touch of wow to any outfit. These maple helicopter earrings are lovingly handcrafted in copper from a real seed pod capturing all the beautiful detail of the original. They would make a lovely gift for yourself or a friend.

The earrings capture the characteristic shape and delicate tracery of the veins on the seed. They are life size and hang from a rose gold filled ear wire designed for the ear lobe.

I make each earring lovingly by hand, using a real seed as the basis for each piece. I spray the copper with a lacquer to prevent them changing colour or turning your skin green! No two pieces will ever be the same. 

The seed measures approximately 1cm by 2cm with a drop from the ear lobe of 5 cm. The ear wires are made from rose gold filled wire. You can also buy a matching necklac.

Rose gold filled has a solid layer of gold (14k) permanently bonded to a base metal, such as brass. The rose colour is obtained by alloying gold with copper. It is very hard wearing and under normal wear the gold will not peel or flake, unlike gold plate, and is commonly used as a more economical alternative to pure gold. I can not guarantee these earrings are hypo-allergenic, although after much wear testing I have not reacted to them.
